Our Story

How it all started…

After being honorably discharged from the Marines, John Palmer (Founder) wanted to invest in a new career conducive to his growing family. John put himself through college as an independent contractor, providing construction services from 1992-1999. In April of 1999, Hosanna Construction Inc. was established.

The name has a personal meaning to John and his wife, Sharon. It was inspired by the lyrics of a song which says “Hosanna, Hosanna, glory to the God that saves us.” John and Sharon believed running their family business was an opportunity to fully trust God to provide the work and their responsibility to do the work.

Through years of hard work and excellence, Hosanna has grown to be a successful company and a leader in the Seattle construction industry. Our assets include 5 excavators and 1 bulldozer, all using Trimble 3D GPS technology, plus a drone package for job site overflight and surveying. Hosanna is currently leading the excavation industry in utilizing Trimble technology, creating high efficiency and shorter timelines for projects.

As a successful small business, Hosanna has continued to provide for the Palmer family and our employees over the years. Since 2011, Brett Palmer–John and Sharon’s oldest son–has taken the reins as Chief Executive Officer and Senior Project Manager, furthering Hosanna’s success in the next generation. John remains actively involved as President/Owner.

As family-owned and operated, Hosanna Construction is dedicated to providing excellent construction services to the Greater Seattle Area–on schedule and on budget, with pristine results.
